In Volume 1 of the Sesame Street collection there is a recipe for the Cookie Monsters cookie dough! I only have volumes 6-10 but my friend has volume 1 and I wrote down the recipe because I'm trying it out today! :) So I thought I'd share it here as well.

  • 3/4 cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups of plain flour
  • 1tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

01. Put butter into a bowl and pour sugar over the top. With a fork squish them together until completely blended.
02. Add both eggs and then vanilla and mix with the fork.
03. Now add the flour to the bowl and stir, then sprinkle baking powder and salt over the top and combine.
04. Chill the dough for at least an hour.
05. You can now either eat it (and get a tummy ache) or roll it out on a board with a little flour sprinkled on and use cookie cutters or a knife to create shapes.
06. Bake in a 200 degree oven (400 F) for 6-8 minutes.

The Sesame Street collection also mentions a few ideas for cookies:
Number or letter cookies.
Cookies with different fillings (cut circles out of the dough, place fillings in the center of the circle and put another circle on top, pinching the sides). Filling ideas mentioned were penut butter, jellybeans, rasins, nuts, chocolate, jam.
Cookie lollipops (make a shape with thin strips of cookie dough and sprinkle crushed lollipop inside).

Okay, I'm now off to make some cookie monster biscuits!

Some websites and stuff I find amusing when I'm bored :)

01. Hubble Heritage Gallery of Images - I'm a dork and I like pictures of space and stuff :$ They really are fascinating and so pretty! Especially the multicoloured nebulae, you can see some amazing colours.
02. Office Solitaire! - I play this all the time, it's solitaire except with pictures of Dwight and crew!
03. What you're really craving is... - Pretty cool site, shows you the healthy alternate to what you're craving.
04. ambiences & goodreads - shamelessly plugging me and my friend's comms, haha. Ambiences is a really cool inspritaional community with awesome quotes and stock photos, sometimes with some music and other stuff. It's updated daily unlike goodreads, which is a comm where krys (ghostanatomist) and I post some good books and muck around lol.
05. Wishlistr - I love this site! You get to post everything you've ever wanted and its got a great segment with gift ideas. {mine can be found here!)
06. Smiggle Stationery - Smiggle stationery is soooo cute (I have their scented gel pens, they are delicious!) and you can view their products in different categories. There's also a store locator and games! I reckon their games are super cute.
07. Totally Spies - This website has the BEST games! They're not all easy peasy (not all anyway) and I love playing them D: Plus you can make some totz groovy party invitations and notebook paper.
08. Meg Cabot's website - Meg Cabot is a great chick-flick novel writer. Her blogs can be really funny sometimes! Plus you can read little bits from her new books :)

That's all for now but there are heaps of boredom cure sites I just can't think of right now lol.
